Stop them from leaving! Stop the flight. Children is a good reason to flee. It’s no surprise that Adolph Hitler once said, “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”
Governments don’t have your kids’ best interest at heart. Nobody does, except their parents. That’s one reason why God’s original plan, for mothers and fathers to raise their own children, has worked so well for millennia. But, for reasons beyond the scope of this article, society wants to toss all that out like a can of expired tuna.
Consequently, these days government and society have managed to make good parenting by actual parents more and more difficult. Oh, parents may still live with their kids, maybe have a catch or eat a bagged fast food dinner in front of the TV “together” once in a while, but the real influence is no longer being wielded by most parents.
No, the real influence lies with popular culture, public education, the media, government ... you name it. The kids do inevitably grow up, biologically at least. They are “raised” by someone, just not the people who love them the most. Then they go out into the real world and begin the cycle again with their own children. If you think young people can’t think for themselves now, just wait a generation or two!
So, in a world where everything is seemingly stacked against parents who want to raise their children with discipline, integrity, values, and a faith-based worldview, how can parents even begin to turn the tide? Here are a few good places to start.
x
Avoid Live Television Programming
Just a few weeks ago I made the mistake of letting the girls watch “Horton Hears a Who” on ABC Family. We were away from home and live TV was the only medium available. I had my doubts but hey, the kids were tired and it’s Horton hears a freaking Who, right? What could possibly go wrong?
Well, not two commercial breaks in comes a “heartwarming” advertisement about a brand-spanking-new ABC “Family” show about the hilarity and “warm fuzzies” that exude when a dad decides he wants to be a woman. Apparently, that sort of thing is what gets the creative juices flowing over at Disney these days. Come on guys, wasn’t "Hannah Montana" punishment enough?
Look, I get that transgender is the new black and all that (you know, "cause God makes mistakes"), but do my small children really need to be any more confused at this point than they already are? I’m having a hard enough time teaching them to change their underwear every day and not yell stuff like, “Dad, look at that HUGE woman over there!” in public without the networks shoving this kind of junk in front of their faces. (Hmm, it’s almost like there’s an agenda.)
When I can’t even sit and watch Jeopardy with my 7-year-old daughter without seeing a graphic Cialis commercial that, well, sparks more questions than answers I’m ready to give, we have a serious problem.
The answer is two-fold. First, eliminate or drastically reduce their time in front of the boob-tube. Second, if you do let your children watch TV, utilize services such as Netflix to eliminate commercials and gain knowledge and control over exactly what your children watch. Certainly, there is value to some programming, but parents should be the ones to make those decisions, not the networks or greedy, soulless advertisers.
x
Get Them Out of Public School
If Common Core or similar and ridiculous rules (the kind that suspends a child for shaping his school pastry suspiciously like a gun) aren’t enough, the fact that public schools have basically become government indoctrination centers should make you at least consider other educational options for your children.
To be sure, public schools are in better shape in some areas of the country than others, and I do understand and sympathize with parents who truly don’t have another option – but, if it’s at all manageable or possible, pulling your children from public schools and going either the private or homeschool route is, in my opinion, one of the best things you can do for them.
Ground Them in Your Faith
Whatever your faith is, grounding them in it will teach them that life is about something bigger than themselves, and that, while we should certainly obey earthly laws that don’t violate God’s Law, their true allegiance ultimately isn’t to some worldly government or system, but to the Creator of the universe.
Teach Them Respect
Respect seems to be sorely missing these days among our youth – respect for elders, for parents, for those in authority, for work, for God, and even for themselves as created beings with a purpose in this life. A human being with respect doesn’t look for any excuse to go out in the streets and smash stuff. He’s too busy, you know – working. The “how,” of course, leads to the next point.
x
Practice the Art of Consistent Discipline
I certainly believe properly administered corporal punishment is a great tool in a parent’s toolbox, but regardless of whether or not you choose to spank your children, consistent, loving, effective discipline is absolutely necessary for a child’s overall upbringing. Say what you mean, mean what you say, and stick to the consequences you’ve laid out. Your children may not like it now, but when they’re 32 with kids of their own, they’ll thank you for it.
I realize it’s not possible to shelter our children from every possible influence this world seeks to bring, but as parents we need to assert our God-given right and duty as protectors and instructors, to mold and shape them according to our values. Remember, while others certainly want a piece of our children, God wants and loves them most of all. If we’ve done our job right, when they leave our care they’ll have the grounding it takes to stand on their own two feet and not only be a productive member of society, but change it for the better.
Dangerous Sanctuary cities and States are another reason to leave.

Texas is a leader, why not follow? Pres. Trump is reaching out to the Hispanics. His outreach to the Hispanic community was further aided by the early creation and staffing of eight grassroots engagement centers by the Republican Party of Texas. Located throughout the state, each with a fulltime field and engagement staff, the effort began in 2013 and was partially funded by the Republican National Committee. Is Pres. Trump winning over the Latin voter?
Are you familiar with the term Chain Migration? No? Get info HERE
If you're poor, Texas is a high tax state.
stop the exodus - Parents think of your children
WOW! Dems are clueless on using ethics. Auntie Kamala getting Soros money in defense of Jossie Smolett - Timeline So much for using hoax to get higher salary on "Empire" - Smolett will not rejoin the cast; he's been written out.
The out-of-touch, delusional must stay away from politics .. .
Speaking of lack of ethics, what about election fraud alive and well in Kentucky - Gov race - Bevin wants review of vote totals
Willie Herenton lost in Memphis, TN. by many, many votes - BUT was it still fraud?
Republicans won both elections in N CarolinA -- See Pres. Trump do the WINNER DANCE
Virginia was a disaster in terms of DEM cheating.
Why has VA evidently turned blue?
The white, college-educated, indoctrinated women, voters who worry about health care, and Virginians who said that they strongly disapprove of Trump politics matter a great deal in VA politics.
Meantime, the Republican base has shrunk to just 31 percent of the electorate, a new low in the party’s voting strength.
Another strategic factor is the wide political division between heavily Democratic Northern Virginia and the rest of the state that is largely rural and still generally more conservative.
In the last two decades or so, there’s been a significant migration from the Washington metropolitan urban areas into Northern Virginia, including many minorities who have moved up the income scale and transformed its politics by making the state more Democratic.
Prince William County, for example, has more minorities than whites. In upper income Loudoun County, the white population has declined by almost 30 percent since 2000, while Asians are its largest minority group, making up 17 percent of the county.
The state’s growing diversity was a major factor helping to elect Justin Fairfax as lieutenant governor, the first African American to win a statewide election in Virginia since L. Douglas Wilder won the governorship in 1989.
Topics like crime, violent Latino “MS-13” gangs, and sex offender issues don’t make the top five list of the voters’ major concerns. Bread and butter issues are what matters: education and children's issues, schools, roads, and wages.
Roy Moore (R) in Alabama says that vote was too close, so a recount is needed being that Alabama is known for fraud
Soros voting machine fraud has been reported in half dozen states.
Kamala would eliminate private insurance ByeBye millions of jobs + VA n Ala election fraud?
It's so sad, because Cali was once so great. What happened?
Boom
Welcome to the DEM vision of the future - much like hunger games - Calif. is no longer my glimpse of the future
• Control over food: Residents of the 12 districts are not allowed to eat more food than they are allotted by the government. Being caught catching a squirrel for food results in severe punishment.
• Control over land: The 12 districts are fenced off with high-voltage power lines, much like you might find in North Korea today. Most of the world is “conserved” as wild forest and grasslands, with humans only being allowed to populate confined regions where resources are sparse and starvation is a daily reality.
• Control over the media: The government controls all media, and every broadcast is a staged theatrical event, completely fabricated by the government to serve the interests of the government itself. This, of course, is a reflection of present-day mainstream media which is completely whored out to corporate and political interests.
• Control of technology: While the masses live in squalor, the techno-elite enjoy advanced hovercraft ships and live in gleaming high-tech cities. Advancements in medicine, 3D displays and weapons systems are available only to the centralized government, never to the People. Also in the film, RFID chips are used to track the game participants.
• Control of DNA: Residents of the districts are identified through the taking of DNA blood samples. The government stores their DNA in a database in order to track and identify individuals. Insects are genetically engineered to serve as weapons, such as GMO wasps that cause wild hallucinations to those who are stung.
• Control over life itself: The government toys with human life and seems to be amused by expressing heartless power over the masses. Their priorities are simultaneously focused on fashion, status and meaningless cuisine. In one scene, when the teenage girl (Katniss Everdeen) is trying to ask her mentor how she might survive the games, her elitists coordinator can only spout about how much she loves “chocolate truffles” and why they should all enjoy a round of desserts.
A parade of fashion, makeup and style gone wild
The style and fashion of the elite class who live in the high-tech cities seems to be echoed right out of a modern-day parade. People are adorned with bright, extravagant clothing and accessories, and they’re painted up in outlandish makeup and hair color. They literally prance around like frolicking maniacal members of royalty, and they experience great joy from causing others to suffer.
The government-worshipping elite class see themselves as intellectually superior to everyone else, yet they lack any real-world skills. They also lack anything resembling ethics, and they see nothing wrong with cheating or lying their way to positions of ever greater power in their warped society.
Enslavement through the illusion of hope
At the top of the government, the leader played by Donald Sutherland is a Rockefeller-type master of deception and human emotions. As he explains in the film, the purpose of the Hunger Games is to keep people enslaved while giving them “a little hope, but not too much.” A little hope keeps the enslaved masses in line, but too much hope might actually make them think they have real power.
The threat of government violence against the enslaved masses is carried out by a class of enforcers who, in contrast to most other dystopian films, are actually clothed in white, not black. They are the TSA of the Hunger Games, and their job is to oppress the people, bash in a few heads, and remind the masses who’s really in charge.
One can’t help but notice in this film that the elite class of prancing government worshipers is the logical extension of today’s irrational worship of government as the savior of society. Where government is put in charge of everything, the People are forever enslaved. And that seems to be the goal of the government-worshipers in society today who desire to make all people dependent on the government, hand over all power to the government, and destroy individual human liberties (and the Bill of Rights). It is no coincidence that the enslaved masses in The Hunger Games are entirely disarmed and only the government is allowed to own high-tech weaponry. This is a key provision of the leftist “anti-gun” movement witnessed in society today, which says that all guns should only be in the hands of government, not individuals. Such a centralization of weaponry in the hands of corrupt government, of course, only leads to tyranny, as history repeatedly shows.
Human dignity
Most interesting to me is the idea that government elitists have no ethics, no morals and no basic dignity. In contrast, the only real expression of dignity comes from the District 12 volunteer, Katniss Everdeen (the female lead). She enjoys a closeness with nature and a respect for life. When other participants in the Hunger Games are killed around her, she shows them respect with a makeshift burial ceremony. She only takes life as a last resort, yet she’s also quick to act out of self defense, and she’s willing to take action to kill others if they are truly intent on killing her.
This reflects a fundamental human right to self defense. When we are attacked, we have the right to hold our ground and return fire as her character demonstrates several times throughout the film. By doing so, she saves her life and ultimately shows the elitist government that it cannot control her.
That point comes out strongly at the end of the games, when she and her male partner are the last two survivors. The elitists government commands them to try to kill each other so that only one victor emerges. But instead of giving in to this command, the two decide to eat poison berries together and thus demonstrate to the global audience watching the event (which is practically the entire population) that the government shall not have the freedom to decide when we live or die, and that even a slave can still decide when to end their own life, independent from an oppressive government regime.
Unexpectedly, the government suddenly halts the games before the two can eat the berries, announcing them both as winners. This is obviously a last-ditch effort to make sure no one expresses any power over their own lives — not even the power to end your own life because such expression of individual power would embarrass the government.
Throughout the film (and the book), the government is obsessed with total oppression of the people, denying them food and resources and carrying out mind games against them that sap their courage and convince them they have no personal power.
The Hunger Games is coming true in America today
When watching the Hunger Games, you can’t help but think about the recent armed raids on Rawesome Foods in California. There, armed government thugs confiscated and destroyed $50,000 worth of food and poured gallons of raw milk down the drain even while a food bank that could have used all that food was right next door. (http://www.naturalnews.com/033220_Rawesome_Foods_armed_raids.html)
This destruction of food carried out by the government of California is also routinely carried out by the oppressive government in The Hunger Games. One of the most powerful strategies for total government domination is to deny people access to real food. That’s exactly what we’re seeing today in the government’s attacks on raw milk, raw almonds and other nutritious foods. In Michigan, for example, state bureaucrats there have announced their plan to start destroying all the pig livestock of small, local ranchers and arrest them as felons
(http://www.naturalnews.com/035372_Michigan_pigs_farm_freedom.html).
We also see in society today a growing class of the ruling elite who express total disdain for humanity, the natural world or anything resembling dignity or ethics. This is perhaps best reflected in the philosophy of Goldman Sachs, a financial investment giant so steeped in the culture of greed that they reportedly think of their own customers as total idiots to be viciously exploited for dishonest profit.
We also see the key elements of tyranny and oppression reflected in the Obama administration, where Obama himself signed the NDAA on New Year’s Eve, 2011. This law nullifies the Bill of Rights and eliminates any right to due process for Americans. It allows the government to arrest, detain, interrogate and torture any person, for any reason, even if they are never charged with a crime. It really is like something ripped right out of a dystopian sci-fi film. The mass population, meanwhile, seems to have no idea this has already been signed into law. (http://www.naturalnews.com/034537_NDAA_Bill_of_Rights_Obama.html)
A while ago, President Obama signed into effect an executive order that seizes control over all food resources across the country, including food, seeds, livestock, farm equipment, food processing facilities, and animal feed. This is written in clear English, right in the order itself. (http://www.naturalnews.com/035301_Obama_executive_orders_food_supply….)
Once again, virtually the entire U.S. population seems to have no idea that this executive order was signed by Obama. In modern society, as inThe Hunger Games film, most people live in a world of delusion, oblivious to the reality of how government is creepily expanding into a totalitarian dictatorship with each passing day.
We are already living in the early stages of The Hunger Games
The real kicker in all this is that, to a great extent, we have already begun to live in the early
stages of a “Hunger Games” society. Those who worship government and believe in total government power over the People are pushing us in that direction every single day.
Here are other signs of a Hunger Games type of government growing all around us:
• The TSA reaching down your pants and calling it “security” (http://tv.naturalnews.com/v.asp?v=979D7B9F44BA6EAE0DF65B3DE6E4EE33)
• Staged false flag security events to keep people afraid (http://www.naturalnews.com/034325_FBI_entrapment_terror_plots.html)
• Janet Napolitano on giant TV screens at Wal-Mart warning everyone to spy on their neighbors and only trust government (http://tv.naturalnews.com/v.asp?v=5A4B5D4B84344D5D9CBD262A53D8B071)
• Armed government raids on farms and food distribution centers
• Corporate control over seeds and all intellectual property
• The push to disarm the People and centralize all weapons in the hands of government
• Mad science genetic engineering of crops and animals
• The total theater of fabricated “humanitarian” causes (Kony 2012) which are really nothing more than a tactic to get public support for mass murder by governments
• The total worshiping of sports figures and sports events by the dumbed-down masses who watch football, basketball and the UFC while having no clue whatsoever that their government is raping their future and destroying their liberties.
Big Government will accelerate us into a Hunger Games dystopian future
Ask yourself: What political position does all this sound like? End the Second Amendment, put government in charge of all food, give up liberties in the name of security, surrender individual power to state power… ring a bell? It’s the platform of America’s political elite, whether you’re talking about the left or the right. Both political parties believe in big (and bigger) government, dis-empowered people, and total government control over all resources (including land).
Only people who believe in small, limited government can reverse this trend. Ron Paul supporters, in other words. A small government is a safe government, as any government that gets too big and too powerful becomes a clear and present danger to the People.
Each day that our government becomes larger and more powerful — which almost automatically happens following staged terror events such as 9/11 — we are hurled ever close to a Hunger Games type of future reality.
Let us hope that We the People can stop the insanity of bad government and find a way to restore liberty before this fictional movie called “The Hunger Games” becomes far too real for comfort.
Could California's decline spread to the rest of America?
and get so little credit?
It’s Big Business. Human Trafficking Is an Epidemic in the U.S.
States like Virginia and Ohio account for some of highest rates of Opioid abuse in the nation. As a result, children of parents using Opioids end up in foster care, can be traded for drugs, or are in positions where they are sexually exploited. When children are forced to abuse Opioids or stimulants, they risk a life-long dependency and fatal overdoses.
Substance Abuse and Sex Trafficking
Jointly occurring substance abuse and sex trafficking are a harsh reality for some. 40% to 85% of prostitutes and sex trafficking and survivors have a chemical use disorder. Along with these disturbing numbers are the 25% of victims of sex trafficking battle Opioid use disorders. This relationship can occur as a way to attract vulnerable women into a life of sex slavery.
Human Trafficking, Psychological Distress, and Opioid Abuse
Human trafficking, both forced labor and sexual exploitation, deeply affect physical and mental wellbeing. Trauma is a common side effect of suffering in such devastating conditions and can bring up new emotional and mental conditions. Because of the relationship between mental illness and substance abuse, the individual who was not a substance abuser now may become one.
The opioid epidemic has complicated and exacerbated the sex trafficking crisis in a number of profound ways: it has increasingly given traffickers a powerful tool to recruit and control victims, it compounds the recovery struggle for survivors, and it taxes the resources of the justice system.
Survivors of sex trafficking when studies have released suffering from the following:
Depression
Shame
Anxiety
Paranoia
Low-self worth
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Alcohol abuse
Drug abuse
High-risk sexual behavior/unstable relationships
Schizophrenia
Delusional and hallucinations
Suicide ideation, suicide attempts, suicide
The nature of exploitation and abuse can create symptoms that may or not be treated, and, in turn encourage unhealthy methods of coping with a toxic reality. During the moments victims of sex trafficking are being sexually exploited, they may cope by using drugs like Heroin or Cocaine. Both of these drugs are widely abused and increase the body’s dopamine levels. Dopamine creates euphoric feelings, which may seem to be the answer to an extremely disempowering and hopeless circumstance. For forced labor, individuals can battle similar states of mind, and use substances to combat working long hours with little wage and protection. Regardless of the type of slavery one is in, many victims, sadly have a drug or alcohol dependency.
Human traffickers are increasingly recruiting in drug rehabilitation facilities and other similar programs because they see the vulnerability when someone is trying to recover from opioid or substance abuse. Children of those struggling with opioid addiction were also at risk.
Sex trafficking is becoming increasingly intertwined with gang activity. Law enforcement has increasingly seen gangs expanding from drug trafficking to sex trafficking, for the cruelest of economic reasons: unlike opioids, people can be sold over and over again
But the reverse relationship between sex trafficking and the drug trade is often true as well. There were increasing reports of opioid being used as a “control mechanism to force or coerce [victims] not only into sex trafficking but also drug trafficking.” In essence, with complete control of their victims, sex traffickers can force those victims to participate in the production, transportation, and distribution of drugs – they are disposable pawns who carry much of the risk of the drug trade on behalf of traffickers who reap the illicit reward.
Getting Clean and Starting Over
Attempting to leave a life of slavery poses psychological risks and is very complicated. Out the outside, it seems obvious to encourage people to leave and get clean in a short amount of time; however, it is not always that simple. There is still hope for victims of trafficking with social programs and treatment in rehabs for those who have battled such damaging circumstances. Don’t give up the fight. There are victim rehabilitation centers, especially those focusing on drug detox, therapy, and psychological treatment that can provide a safe space. If you know someone in this circumstance, they may be too afraid to make a life-changing call. Contact 911, and a dedicated treatment specialist today.
Further, many victims of trafficking have had their finances taken away from them, leaving them with very few treatment options. Currently, there are just 16 detox beds at RHA’s The Harbor facility, the only free detox program in the area. After that, A Safe Place can get survivors into a variety of treatment programs, but for those on their own, the options are not good.
There isn’t much, for someone with no resources. There are free programs but they’re few and far between — and the [survivors] have to be accepted. Often there’s a waiting list, and these programs need to make sure the patients are committed to the process. It’s not a good situation.”
The opioid epidemic takes a lot of resources. And these [sex trafficking] cases are the hardest – among the hardest – to prosecute. They take time and manpower, and when we have something like the recent rash of shooting, then everyone is working on that.”
A common issue is that victims of sex trafficking often disappear, fleeing the area if and when they can.
Some District Attorney’s office has tracked down victims as far away as California, Alaska, and Canada.
Prosecutors have limited resources to bring those victims to New Hanover County to testify, and can’t fly friends or family alongside them. Prosecutors have worked with a non-profit that sends a counselor along with the victim – an effort that made all the difference for the trial – but most of the time options are limited.
Anyone can join in the fight against human trafficking. Here are just a few ideas to consider.
Learn the indicators of human trafficking so you can help identify a potential trafficking victim.
Human trafficking awareness training is available for individuals, businesses, first responders, law enforcement, educators, and federal employees, among others.
If you are in the United States and believe someone may be a victim of human trafficking, report your suspicions to law enforcement by calling 911 or the 24-hour National Human Trafficking Hotline line at 1-888-373-7888.
Trafficking victims, including undocumented individuals, are eligible for services and immigration assistance.
Host an awareness-raising event to watch and discuss films about human trafficking. For example, learn how modern slavery exists today; watch an investigative documentary about sex trafficking; or discover how human trafficking can affect global food supply chains.
Businesses: Provide jobs, internships, skills training, and other opportunities to trafficking survivors.
Students: Take action on your campus. Join or establish a university club to raise awareness about human trafficking and initiate action throughout your local community. Consider doing one of your research papers on a topic concerning human trafficking. Request that human trafficking be included in university curricula.
Health Care Providers: Learn how to identify the indicators of human trafficking and assist victims. With assistance from anti-trafficking organizations, extend low-cost or free services to human trafficking victims.
Journalists: The media plays an enormous role in shaping perceptions and guiding the public conversation about human trafficking. Here are some media best practices on how to effectively and responsibly report stories on human trafficking.
Attorneys: Offer human trafficking victims legal services, including support for those seeking benefits or special immigration status. Resources are available for attorneys representing victims of human trafficking.
Republicans in the House care - what?
Ivanka and Pres. Trump worked hard getting this legislation passed - what?
Yep, Democrats seem to be in the biz - what?
Work with a local religious community or congregation to help stop trafficking by supporting a victim service provider or spreading awareness of human trafficking.
When a youth is a runaway or homeless, one of the reasons may be the lack of a support system that allows the opportunities to make healthy decisions. Runaway and homeless youth often leave their home without having a plan, which makes the youth more vulnerable to traffickers.
According to a Justice Department estimate, within 48 hours of leaving home, a trafficker or pimp approaches one-third of runaway youth.
A trafficker may approach by pretending to want to help by offering food, shelter or clothing; the youth is lured to an apartment or hotel room. When the youth reaches the destination, the trafficker forces them to have sex with undisclosed people in exchange for said food, clothing or shelter.
A youth without proper support networks at home or school may turn to social media to find supportive people. Traffickers prey on youth looking for that support and say things that make the youth think life will be better with them. The traffickers will groom a youth through praise, promises of a better life, or expensive gifts. Traffickers look for youth that have a lower self-esteem, are victims of domestic violence or abuse, or are socially isolated. The youth is easily convinced to leave home to live with the trafficker who has promised them a better life. Upon arrival, however, the youth is forced into sex trafficking.
How can a youth protect themselves from online traffickers?
What can parents/teachers/friends of the youth do to help them feel supported at home? The Human Trafficking Freedom Coalition of Illinois has some great suggestions on ways to prevent this from happening.
Install extra security on your computer and devices.
Install anti-virus software
Firewalls
Pop-up blockers
Review privacy settings. Look at the privacy settings available on social networking sites, cell phones, and other social tools that children use. Decide together which settings provide the appropriate amount of protection for each child.
Talk with the youth about critical thinking. Empower them to handle things. Support their good decisions. Actively engage with them.
Help them be good “digital citizens.” Teach youth to respect the personal information of friends and family and to not share it with others.
Not only does this teach youth good internet safety but it may also provide the necessary support system to help keep a youth feeling safe and loved.
The Human Trafficking Freedom Coalition of Illinois also has a list of safety apps for parents to use that can help in keeping youth safe while online.
Kids Place. This parental control app allows parents to customize their home screen to show only approved apps. It can also prevent youth from buying or downloading types of apps and can block incoming calls.
SecureTeen. This app filters out most adult content. It also monitors children’s activities online and can shut down any app that the youth may have installed on a device.
Kids Zone Parental Controls. This app allows parents to set a time limit on the use of a smartphone. It also blocks app installation and in-app purchasing.
Youth involved with trafficking can contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline (888-373-7888) for assistance or NRS at 1-800-RUNAWAY for support.
The National Runaway Safeline can help a youth find shelter or contact a family member and help a youth to return home through the Home Free program.
SIGNS OF SCOUTING FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The abductor approaches you while you’re alone
They say they are from another city or country
Their self-description or story is inconsistent
They pay only in cash and say things like they don’t have a credit card and ask to use yours to avoid being tracked
Forces you to take drugs or consume alcohol
Lures you in with friendly conversation
Shows signs of aggressive behavior
Verbal or sexual abuse
They talk about having you come visit their country in the near future
They deny being married or having a family of their own (this is typically a man who is seeking out a younger woman)
They make sexual moves on you without your consent
When they find out you’re not in need of money, a daddy figure, or job their interest shifts
They seem put off when you mention your family lives nearby
When you Google their name, and the city of residence, all you find is the exact description, but the photo is someone else entirely. (They use this identity on the move and they will use it on the next innocent person they interact with while on this mission of recruiting those for human trafficking.)
80% in the clear: They say they are leaving town the next day and will be away on business for at least a week (if the city they are visiting is one listed above, beware) — If this happens they have had a change of mind and don’t plan on abducting you.
90% sure you’re in the clear: They disappear, don’t reply phone calls or texts when you reach out– they have moved on to scouting out someone else
HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM ABDUCTION
Be aware of your surroundings
Carry pepper spray with you on your key-chain
If you sense you are being chased down, or about to be kidnapped call 911 immediately
Stay in tune with your intuition, it will not lead you astray
Mentally prepare yourself to fight off the abductor
Never reveal private information to a stranger
Get to a safe spot as soon as possible.
If you do talk to a stranger, let me know you have friends and family in the area
Let them know you’re a supporter of guns and the second amendment
If you’re on a date, never leave the table until dinner is finished to avoid the other person slipping anything into your food or drink
If you begin to be attacked, make a scene, yell for help, and fight back like your life depends on it (because it probably does)
Be observant and use your brain (knowledge is power)
Allow 3 of your closest friends or family members to track your phone via GPS so they know your whereabouts at all times– you can do with on most cell phones and allow a select few to have access to your location for 1 hour, 1 day, or indefinitely
Don’t let anyone know where you live until you get to know them– so for a date, meet them at a public place for the first few times until you get to know them and feel comfortable
Stay in contact with friends and family if you’re out and about alone or with someone you don’t know very well
Always keep your doors locked
Before walking out of a store or restaurant, have your keys out so you don’t have to try finding them as your walking to the car (abductors love a distracted person)
Remember what you’ve seen in the movies– that stuff can actually happen and you can use some of the same methods to escape from a bad situation
If you suffer from trauma or psychological damage post the incident, seek professional help and don’t be ashamed of it. Getting help is a courageous act.
It's funny how the left responds to trivia, right? How are the Trumps getting it done?
Why does Ivanka Trump work so hard to end Human trafficking
California is no more . . .
California Governor Jerry Brown has famously called taxpayers “freeloaders” as he welcomes poor, uneducated foreigners to come to California illegally to live off welfare. Senate Pro Tem Kevin De Leon said half his family is in the country illegally and he believes it is their right to be here. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti is destroying the economy for the sake of illegal immigration. All are misappropriating funds. All have established Socialist policies.
California has: ended the ban on communists in government positions; demands an unsustainable Single Payer healthcare; spends uncontrollably; hopes to imprison people for using what they say are improper transgender pronouns; and it is a sanctuary state – even for criminals, and spends so much money on the people here illegally that they don’t have enough money to properly care for any of the poor citizens.
It won’t get any better in the near future.
California has become a foreign country with the blessings of its far-left politicians. Currently 45% of Californians speak a foreign language at home. They are not assimilated and many are here illegally. They didn’t come in many cases to adopt our values.
The state has lost its identity as part of the United States and the rest of the country isn’t far behind with nearly one out of five currently speaking a foreign language at home. A good indicator can be seen in the numbers of illegal aliens currently holding driver’s licenses in the state. The licenses also enable voter fraud. Since January 2015, California “residents” have not been required to prove they are American citizens to obtain a driver’s license. They only have to show ID and residency in the state. Currently, under Assembly Bill 60, one million illegal aliens are on track to receive licenses and ten other states are doing the same thing. Take that information and combine it with the fact that New Motor Voter laws automatically register holders of driver’s licenses to vote. It enables voter fraud.
All these people bring in their families through chain migration, multiplying those numbers exponentially.
Laura Ingraham addressed the extreme poverty in California on her show recently. California, with the eight largest economy of the nation’s cities, and for all of its many natural resources is the poorest state in the union. It is also a one party state, a Socialist state. Look at your future and weep.
Foreigners coming for the wrong reasons en masse [we are not talking about the immigrants who come the right way] also bring their culture. Some are very ignorant, some are criminals, and they are not expected to assimilate. Liberals/Leftists want Americans to adapt to them and their policies demand it. Therein lies the core problem.

Many who gulped down the hook are now out buying electric cars.
The scientists are a virtual irrelevance in this story: merely the useful idiots of a political agenda.
That agenda is part religion – a kind of pagan nature worship expressed through opposition to Western-industrialized civilization and the embrace of retrograde technologies like wind power.
And it’s part leftist politics and economics: a way by which Europe can destroy and overtake the United States’ economic hegemony by neutralizing one of its greatest competitive advantages – the abundance of fossil fuels which have now made it the world’s number one energy superpower.

People who should know better are pointing to California’s current budget surplus as proof that the state, the world’s fifth largest economy, is in sound financial shape.
The surplus figure cited by DEM idiot economists and others has two problems: it’s both misleading and paints an incomplete picture of the Golden State’s finances. The truth is that there is no revenue surplus had by California state government. In fact, the state’s long-run obligations far exceed projected revenue collections to the tune of $1 trillion in unfunded pension liabilities alone. When factoring in the cost of non-pension benefits for state workers, such as health care for retired government employees, the debt facing California taxpayers rises further.
“Combining California’s debt with publicly held federal debt, we estimate a total debt-to-GDP ratio of 125% (or 153% using the broader definition of federal debt),” California Policy Center report released in 2017 points out. “This level places California distressingly close to peripheral Eurozone countries that faced financial crises in 2011 and 2012. Portugal’s 2015 debt-to-GDP ratio was 129% and Italy’s was 133%.”
Intelligent people like Bill Fletcher and Marc Joffe, authors of the California Policy Center report, breakdown how much of this debt each Californian is on the hook for and find a burden of “$33,000 per resident and $74,000 per taxpayer – excluding their share of federal debt.”
This massive unfunded pension liability, which California taxpayers are on the hook for, is something that state legislators in Sacramento continue to ignore, acting as though the problem will go away on its own (or, more likely, that the federal government will bail them out at the end of the day).
Why is Fed. bail out a bad idea? A conflict has emerged between states that have pursued prudent fiscal policies versus those that have been profligate in their spending, accumulating crippling amounts of debt. While the danger of this disparity has not yet captured public attention, the “silent bailout” of these fiscally irresponsible states by the federal government is unsustainable and will eventually lead to default and bankruptcy.
Silent bailouts entail the allocation of federal tax dollars to reckless states to help them meet their unrealistic spending obligations. This transfer shifts the debt burden of those states onto their responsible, wealth-creating neighbors.
For instance, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and some other ‘heartland’ states that have adopted fiscal policies to restrain growth in spending have been able to keep their budgets in check and, therefore, propose or enact cuts in their income taxes. In contrast profligate states, such as California and Illinois, have failed to reduce the growth in their own spending and continue to face sizeable deficits and accumulate debt.
Lawmakers in California and Illinois have proposed tax increases to offset revenue shortfalls. But rather than pay down existing debt, they use the increased revenue to fund additional government spending.
Higher tax states discourage long-term economic growth compared to lower tax states. Because they require more money to meet their more expensive budgets, they have become increasingly dependent on federal transfers. Much of that federal money is used to fund entitlement programs such as Medicaid, which allows states to get more than a dollar in federal money for every dollar they spend. Federal transfers to state and local governments more than doubled since 2000. This silent bailout accelerated with the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), which allocated $144 billion to state and local governments—a disproportionate amount going to spending-heavy states.
Though these bailouts may have been well-intentioned policies aimed to help states avoid tax increases or politically difficult decisions on where to cut excessive government spending, the bailouts have eliminated incentives to act responsibly and balance budgets. Instead, bailouts have actively encouraged continued spending. In fact, profligate states have a history of expanding entitlement programs in order to maximize federal matching funds for these programs. Even as revenues dropped, spending went up in a majority of states during the start of the economic downturn.
As profligate states become more dependent on federal transfers, the debts incurred by them are effectively shifted to prudent ones while taxpayer money from prudent states disproportionately goes to federal spending in the profligate states. By rewarding spenders and punishing savers, the federal government creates all the wrong incentives for state fiscal policy.
Consider pension funds. There is a high probability that state pension funds will not be able to meet their massive, growing obligations. When that occurs, states such as California and Illinois—which have already accumulated hundreds of billions of dollars in debt in their retiree pension and health care programs—will not be able to bailout these failed plans. These states will likely demand a federal bailout of their state pension plans, similar to the federal trust fund established to bailout failed private pension plans.
These kinds of policies have dangerous repercussions for the United States as a whole. A significant share of the deficits and debt accumulating at the federal level are linked to transfers to state and local governments. We’ve witnessed this before in other major debtor countries. Much of the fiscal instability in Argentina and Spain is linked to deficits and debt incurred by their regional governments.
If our own silent bailout continues to grow over the next business cycle, we should expect further challenges to the credit worthiness of the federal government. In fact, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) predicts that, at this rate, by 2022 U.S. national debt will reach 90 percent of our GDP. State and local governments have accumulated $2.4 trillion in debt, or more than 15 percent of GDP, and face their own fiscal crisis with credits downgrades and municipal bankruptcies.
The silent bailout is accelerating in America and moving us closer to the fiscal crises encountered in other major debtor countries. There is no greater threat to our economic freedom than the fiscal profligacy engendered by the silent bailouts encouraging greater and greater debt.

Will California become America's first failed state?
California may be the eighth largest economy in the world, but its state government is issuing IOUs, unemployment is at its highest in 70 years, and teachers are on hunger strike. So what has gone so catastrophically wrong?
California has a special place in the American psyche. It is the Golden State: a playground of the rich and famous with perfect weather. It symbolizes a lifestyle of sunshine, swimming pools and the Hollywood dream factory.
But the state that was once held up as the epitome of the boundless opportunities of America has collapsed. From its politics to its economy to its environment and way of life, California is like a patient on life support. At the start of summer, 2009, the state government was so deeply in debt that it began to issue IOUs instead of wages. Its unemployment rate has soared to more than 12%, the highest figure in 70 years. Desperate to pay off a crippling budget deficit, California is slashing spending in education and healthcare, laying off vast numbers of workers and forcing others to take unpaid leave. In a state made up of sprawling suburbs the collapse of the housing bubble has impoverished millions and kicked tens of thousands of families out of their homes. Its political system is locked in paralysis and the two-term rule of former movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger is seen as a disaster – his approval ratings having sunk to levels that would make George W Bush blush. The crisis is so deep that Professor Kevin Starr, who has written an acclaimed history of the state, recently declared: "California is on the verge of becoming the first failed state in America."
Outside the Forum in Inglewood, near downtown Los Angeles, California has already failed. The scene is reminiscent of the fallout from Hurricane Katrina, as crowds of impoverished citizens stand or lie aimlessly on the hot tarmac of the centre's car park. It is 10am, and most have already been here for hours. They have come for free healthcare: a travelling medical and dental clinic has set up shop in the Forum (which usually hosts rock concerts) and thousands of the poor, the uninsured and the down-on-their-luck have driven for miles to be here.
The queue began forming at 1am. By 4am, the 1,500 spaces were already full and people were being turned away. On the floor of the Forum, root-canal surgeries are taking place. People are ferried in on cushions, hauled out of decrepit cars. Sitting propped up against a lamp post, waiting for her number to be called, is Debbie Tuua, 33. It is her birthday, but she has taken a day off work to bring her elderly parents to the Forum, and they have driven through the night to get here. They wait in a car as the heat of the day begins to rise. "It is awful for them, but what choice do we have?" Tuua says. "I have no other way to get care to them."
Yet California is currently cutting healthcare, slashing the "Healthy Families" program that helped an estimated one million of its poorest children. Los Angeles now has a poverty rate of 20%. Other cities across the state, such as Fresno and Modesto, have jobless rates that rival Detroit's. In order to pass its state budget, California's government has had to agree to a deal that cuts billions of dollars from education and sacks 60,000 state employees. Some teachers have launched a hunger strike in protest. California's education system has become so poor so quickly that it is now effectively failing its future workforce. The percentage of 19-year-olds at college in the state dropped from 43% to 30% between 1996 and 2004, one of the highest falls ever recorded for any developed world economy. California's schools are ranked 47th out of 50 in the nation. Its government-issued bonds have been ranked just above "junk".
Some of the state's leading intellectuals believe this collapse is a disaster that will harm Californians for years to come. "It will take a while for this self-destructive behaviour to do its worst damage," says Robert Hass, a professor at Berkeley and a former US poet laureate, whose work has often been suffused with the imagery of the Californian way of life.
Fast forward to 2019. The state Senate has delayed until next year consideration of SB 50, which would force increased population densities on California’s communities by overruling local planning and zoning regulations. This pending state law would mandate unit densities and building heights, not only for new housing developments but also for existing residential neighborhoods.
No surprise that this proposed legislation was greeted with howls of objection by residents throughout the state.
Imagine your quiet, single-family home neighborhood transmogrified by fourplexes and towering apartment buildings throwing shadows across your yard during the day and lighting it up at night. Imagine all those new neighbors clogging your streets with traffic, and claiming every curbside for parking.
That is not the neighborhood, the community or the state you bought into, is it? So, what right do these people-packing politicians have in taking it away from you? And for what?
Their justification is based on the assumption that continual population growth is inevitable and on appeals to “moral duty.” They scold that it is immoral for us to keep what we have when so many others also want it but can’t get it. And, besides, population growth is unavoidable.
Is it?
Unless California is physically expanding and increasing its essential resources — especially fresh water — population growth cannot be infinite. There is a capacity limit at which point further numbers cannot be sustained. The closer we get to that limit, the more we seriously damage our environment and our quality of life.
Even though clever technological advances and engineering feats have stretched that limit, ultimately, they can’t eliminate it. Unrestrained population growth will overwhelm ingenuity like tsunamis overwhelm seawalls.
A state equipped for a population of around 10 million to 15 million now staggers and struggles under the weight of 40 million. The misery of driving almost anywhere, anytime, in California’s constipated traffic confirms that.
As does the water shortages, the decreasing air quality, the endemic urban expansion into wildfire-prone areas, the loss of wildlife habitats, the rolling blackouts on overburdened power grids, the toxic filth that closes our beaches after every rainstorm, maxed out landfills, the eternal waits at the DMV and other government offices, getting a doctor to see you sooner than three months out, and finding a parking place.
I’m pretty sure you can add to this list.
Notice that as population increases so do restrictions. As resources and availability get strained by increased demand, personal freedom and individual choices are limited, even prohibited.
For example, penalties, up to and including cessation of service, for exceeding water use limits are imposed. Electricity becomes a tiered expense — exceed a tier and the rate spikes. Gasoline is ever more expensive. Green lawns are now something to be ashamed of. Time limits on parking get shorter and fines for infractions get larger. You are preached at to replace your car with a bike, or to take the bus.
The denser the population, the less civil it becomes — road rage becomes vicious. Like too many rats in a cage, we start biting each other.
So, what is our “moral duty”? Is it really to sacrifice nature and further deteriorate our living conditions in order to keep cramming more people into a finite environment, or is it to recognize the reality of limits and the destructive consequences of exceeding them?
Are residents immorally selfish because they want such things as green gardens, nature, freeways that move at more than 20 mph, clean air, and quiet, uncrowded neighborhoods?onerous obligations, like SB 50 and housing quotas, to boost it.
Housing in California will never be plentiful or affordable enough for everyone who wants to live here. Building ever more housing, even with those silly “affordable unit” requirements, to satisfy demand is like leaving more sugar on the counter to satisfy ants. They will just keep coming.
There is affordable housing in America, just not everywhere. Because people want to live in a particular location does not entitle them to a home there.
And, please, don’t regurgitate that fallacious argument that an economy can only be sustained by continual population increases. If that were true, an economy would always be on the verge of collapse — awaiting the daily reports from the maternity wards.
Economic activity is mostly cyclical with repeated transactions for needed products and services — groceries, energy, health care, replacing worn-out tires, roofs, clothing, etc. It doesn’t require more people.
California’s politicians who do not confront these realities are either short-sighted, spineless or stupid. We have to continue to let them know that the state’s occupancy limit has been reached, and demand that they work toward population stabilization down to an environmentally sustainable level.
This can be done, as is evidenced by the recent report that California’s population growth fell to its lowest rate in history last year — less than one half of 1 percent. Reasons given for the sharp decline include the state’s high cost of living — especially housing costs. People are choosing to live elsewhere — and that’s a good thing.
California Collapse is Inevitable
